Job Descriptions

This is a significant position within Mirabilia Centre as a Coordinator. This position is developed to support the Director in coaching and mentoring a caseload of staff whilst also being the Second In Charge (2IC) in the Director’s absence/unavailability. This position should also attach other position descriptions that include: Room Leader, ECT, Qualified Educator, Certificate III and Trainee to assist in the coach and to a mentor of the staff.

Being a Coordinator, also the Second In Charge is responsible for assisting in the supervision of the day-to-day running of the Centre efficiently and professionally. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Familiarity and awareness of the Director's role (as per attached and guided) to be confident in their absence and maintain the Centre's policies, procedures and practices. Maintain Centre records about staff and children, effectively liaised with other Coordinators and all staff in their daily procedures. Support and assist the Director. Maintain a friendly, supportive relationship with the parents and staff. Open or close the Centre when required.

It is part of a service leadership system providing job-embedded and ongoing professional development which meets corporate, service and individual development needs.


Qualifications

    To be considered for these roles, applicants must have the following:

    • Have you working towards or have any of the approved qualifications to support the role
    • Current Working With Children Check and Police Clearance
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • A genuine passion and positive approach for working with children and their families
    • Work efficiently and independently with great initiatives
    • Values a collaborative team approach and willingness to learn
    • Has a sound knowledge of National Quality Standards and Regulations
    • Has a love for an EYLF curriculum that is based on nature, child-led, play-based, and teacher-initiated learning that view children as strong, capable, and resilient
    • Desirably a current First Aid/Anaphylaxis/Asthma training
